Bing Crosby’s Restaurant and Piano Lounge recently opened it’s newest location in San Diego, California. This is the third location for this new club and restaurant. Their other locations are in Rancho Mirage, California and Walnut Creek, California. The new hot spot has made quite the impact on the trendy San Diego scene.
The lounge has a Hollywood inspired setting that captures the glory and glamour of the high days of Bing Crosby in the 1930s. The restaurant includes a piano lounge, library, country club room and Oscar room. Bing Crosby's Restaurant and Lounge has a vintage country club feel to it, while it’s decorated with photos of Bing Crosby with numerous Hollywood stars; including Bob Hope, Louis Armstrong and Dean Martin.
The elegant restaurant comes with an equally classy menu. Plates range from $12 a plate to $30. Award winning chef Frank Palmer creates his menu with American, French and even Asian influences. The menu contains numerous Bing Crosby meals, including the Crosby House Salad, the Bing Burger, and the Crosby Clam Bake. The drink menu includes countless martinis named after his most famous fims; Road to Rio and Road to Bali are among the most popular. Bing Crosby is best known for headlining in over 100 movies and selling over 500 million records. Crosby was well known for his Hollywood lifestyle. He was an avid golfer and businessman, investing in horse races and owning land in California and oil wells in Texas. The new chain of Bing Crosby’s Restaurant and Piano Lounges allow this great star to live on for devoted crooners everywhere.
