During the early 1960s, while Nashville sidemen were creating polished tones, Frank Arnett was in California banging out licks on his pedal steel. He helped define the Bakersfield sound with hard-charging steel guitar. Frank won critical acclaim in 1974 with his instrumental album Model T, but he never achieved the same notoriety peer steel players did. He remains one of the most talented steel guitar players of the underground scene. He spends his time in Nashville still producing demos for aspiring songwriters.
