Lost Gold Featured Artists: Three Miles

Untitled Document

Three Miles is an excellent example and the perfect combination of upbeat tunes from the 70's, 80's and 90's. Ska music is a diverse genre that draws from Jamaican roots that date back to the 50’s and British Mod music in the 70’s. Three Miles is a Ska band made up of some friends looking to add their own flavor to the already varied genre. Their changing tempos and clever lyrics, allow them to show their talented guitar solos and clear vocals. Three Miles manages to draw inspiration from the scratching guitar strum and snappy base of earlier artists but design music all their own.

Three miles is made up of friends and band mates Brad Anderson, James Owens, and Kenny Price and drummer Kevin Cox. They are famed for their excellent live shows and Ska-rock style that defines the group. Though the beginnings of this music style can be traced back through the 80’s, 70’s and even 50’s this music is a modern rendition that gives Three Miles a truly individual style and their own place within their genre.
