Lost Gold Featured Artist: Loretta Lynn

Loretta Lynn received the Lifetime Achievement award during the 52nd annual Grammy Awards last week as she ushered in the 50th year of her musical career.  She was among a handful of other artists, including Michael Jackson and Leonard Cohen, to be honored for their contributions to the music industry.  Lynn had previously received four Grammy awards including one for Country Album of the Year for her 2004 release Van Lear Rose, which was produced by The White Stripes’ front man and current The Dead Weather member, Jack White.

Her most recent award draws attention to a very long life and musical career that started with Lynn at the age of 24.  Since then she has recorded through five decades and released over fifty albums to her name.
